Caroline is originally from Washington, D.C. and has had a lifelong fascination with other languages and cultures. She studied French and Economics at university, but also found time to do a couple of years of Japanese study which led her to a job through the Japanese Ministry of Education teaching in Japan for 3 years. From there she went on to get her Master’s degree in French philology in Paris (NYU) and somehow landed in Barcelona in the late 90s.
After several years here she got her diploma in TESOL education through Trinity College, London. She has been teaching at Pompeu Fabra University since 2003 and was at ESADE for 7 years as well where she got to know the teachers who form NELC. She loves black and white photography and scuba-diving, although she doesn’t seem to find much time for either anymore. She also enjoys cinema and good food and wine, and plays paddle a couple of times a week.
