Margaret has a BA (Hons) degree in Applied Social Sciences and a Masters in Social Policy. After her degree, she worked in the UK for over ten years, first in service planning and development for the National Health Service, and later for British Telecom. She retrained as an English language teacher at International House, Barcelona over twenty years ago. After teaching all levels and ages at Merit School, she moved into the university sector and became Exams Co-ordinator for the University Pompeu Fabra’s Language Centre and an online English consultant with the Universitat Oberta.
Since 2004 she has been designing courses and teaching in-companies, including work skills, such as presentations in English. She also writes materials and is co-author of several English coursebooks, including Market Leader Advanced. She was delighted to be invited to join the NELC team this year.She spends her free time at the gym, cycling in the Tarragonès and Baix Penedès and studying MOOCs.
