Originally from Camden, North West London Sophie has been teaching for over 15 years. She completed her degree in Spanish, French and Latin American studies at London Metropolitan University, then straight away completed a CELTA at International House London and after 2 years teaching at St Giles London Central where she also worked as a housing inspector for students who were placed with families whilst studying English in London. She moved to Barcelona to improve her Spanish and quickly settled. After teaching here for six years she was promoted to Director of Studies which gave her valuable experience in managing a team of people, writing exams, preparing material and helping parents to work with their children in order to achieve the most from their classes. Sophie returned to teaching full time in 2014 and also works as a FCE/CAE/CPE oral examiner at The British Council and as a translator and interpreter.

In her free time she enjoys writing poetry, being outside, spending time with friends and family and good food and conversation.
