Dean has now been teaching in Barcelona for over 20 years. After arriving in Barcelona in 1994 and completing the TESOL certificate he landed a job as Director of Studies at The Wall Street Institute. As well as teaching, this position involved the daily didactic management of a school of over 1600 students. After 6 years he took a one-year sabbatical to travel around the world, briefly teaching in India and S.E. Asia. He returned to Barcelona and began teaching in-company business English at The Windsor Institute of Languages. This led to a Director of Studies position and later to Director of Trinity teacher training. For the last few years Dean has focused on business English, working for institutions such as ESADE, International House and NELC, as well as running his own in-company language courses. In his free time, he likes cooking, dining out and planning his next trip abroad.
