It’s happened again. The summer’s gone by in a flash, September’s just around the corner and you’ve got a list of things to do in the autumn. Going back to the gym, trying to get to bed earlier, signing up for Salsa, Japanese cooking or photography classes… You’re coming back recharged, and at NELC we’ve made it our mission to help you achieve your goals, especially if improving your level of English or getting the Cambridge qualification you need is among them.

First off, it’s worth knowing that, if you enrol on NELC’s autumn English-language courses before 15 September, you’ll get a 5% discount; if you are or have been a student at NELC, you’ll also benefit from special rates. That’s the first advantage.

The second advantage is that our range of programmes and formats makes it easy for you to find one that fits into your busy lifestyle. Keep reading to discover all the options available to you.

The well-established Expand & Advance Tracks are intensive courses for professionals who need English in their work and don’t have any free time during the week. They enable you to complete a level in just three months, and you can choose from the face-to-face or blended-learning versions.

If you’d rather attend a class and are able to devote Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings to improving your level of English, then enrol on Fast Track. If attending classes is an issue for you but distance learning between classes isn’t, then the solution is Autumn Track. This tailored blended-learning course combines face-to-face classroom learning and e-learning via our Moodle online platform. This blended-learning format will enable you to progress quickly and substantially, and with two blended tracks, you’ll advance at least one level.

Another of the learning methods we offer is Practice & Improve. How often have you told yourself that the only thing you needed to feel at ease in English was to practice more? If you’ve ever been surprised to find yourself thinking something like this, then these programmes are the solution. In just one day a week, you’ll be able to maintain and develop English-language skills and abilities aimed specifically at conversation.

There are two formats. You can choose either Executive English or the Speaking Course. The first is an English-for-business course designed for you to improve your communication skills, with a focus on meetings, presentations, negotiations and social situations within your world of work. The second will help you improve your general fluency. With the Speaking Course, you’ll improve your speaking in a wide variety of situations, both professional and social.

If you’re short of time and your availability is constantly changing, we’d advise you to select NELC’s Language Coaching. It’s a very flexible programme, making it ideal for busy executives. We adapt to your availability, needs and desired intensity. Studying English one-to-one with one of our highly experienced teachers will enable you to make considerable progress in a short space of time. And remember that, if – besides English – you want to learn German, French, Portuguese, Spanish or Italian, we can also assist you personally. Please enquire!

And finally, we can’t forget those of you who need to pass the official Cambridge exams. We’ll help you prepare for (and pass!) both FCE and CAE. If you’re looking to accredit level B2 in English under the Common European Framework, enrol on the Cambridge English First (FCE) preparation course, which is scheduled to coincide with the Cambridge exam dates. You’ll practice the five required areas as well as techniques to help you answer the questions more effectively.

If you need to accredit the level required to study abroad or work in international organisations (C1), enrol on the Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) preparation course. Like the FCE, this programme is also designed to coincide with the official exam dates and to ensure that you practice all the areas that you’ll be assessed on.

Don’t leave it until October, when your hectic daily schedule will weaken the determination and energy you now have. You already know how quickly time flies. “The time is now”, as the English say! And, if you enrol before 15 September, you’ll benefit from our discounts.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
