Caroline grew up in Surrey, obtained a Business degree at the University of Manchester, and then got a job in advertising in the early ‘90s. After a couple of years she got itchy feet and a one year around-the-world trip turned into seven years of travelling and living abroad. She worked in Australia and Hong Kong in various international companies before she returned to London. She then decided to move away from business and into teaching and came to Barcelona at the end of 1999 to qualify as a foreign language (EFL) teacher. She originally planned to stay for one month but quickly found her niche teaching business English to professionals, using her past experience of the business world. She has collaborated with NELC since it was set up, having worked with the founders at the ESADE Executive Language Center. When not teaching, Caroline can often be found hiking in the Montseny and her current objective is to improve her Lindy hop dancing skills.
