She has over 12 years of ESL Business, Exam, and General English experience here in Barcelona, and she also works as an FCE / CAE Oral Examiner at the British Council and on the Summer Intensive P.I.A. (Pla d’Impuls de l’Anglès) teachers course at the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas.
She has previous Further Education / 16+ teaching experience in the UK, where she began her teaching career and gained the Adult Education Award. She originally planned to become a college teacher, focusing on the Foundation Art level, but after coming to Barcelona in 2001 to do a Masters in European Fine Art, she fell in love with the city and decided to stay… so changed from Art to TEFL teaching! She still tries to visit exhibitions whenever she can in her free time, and although she doesn´t have a studio at the moment, she tries to involve herself in creative hobbies like music and theatre.
